Lisa Pak – Friday Night at 7 pm

Dr. Lisa Pak currently works alongside Rick Warren on the Finishing the Task (FTT) lead team. Her previous experience includes serving as the Regional Director for Ontario and Nunavut at the Canadian Bible Society, in addition to over a decade of pastoral ministry and church experience in the United States, South Korea, Singapore and Canada with a particular focus on diaspora peoples, global missions, and the rising generations. She is a second-generation Korean Canadian and Toronto native, ordained by the Korean Association of Independent Churches and Missions (KAICAM). She holds a MDiv and a MABL from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and has earned her Doctor of Ministry in Leadership at Tyndale Seminary. Lisa has travelled globally and is passionate about all diaspora communities and mobilizing the church, parachurch, women, and the young generation altogether in collaboration to share the good news of Jesus Christ with all who have yet to hear.

Sam George – Saturday at 4:30 pm

Sam George, PhD, is the director of the Global Diaspora Institute at Wheaton College Billy Graham Center and serves as a global catalyst of the Lausanne Movement. He researches and teaches global migration, diaspora missions, and World Christianity in several countries across Asia, Africa, and the Americas. The word ‘diaspora’ refers to the movements of people throughout the world, both voluntary and involuntary.

He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, Practical Theology, and World Christianity. He worked in the technology industry for a decade before shifting to Christian ministries. He is of Asian Indian origin (Andaman Islands) and has lived in five countries, and now makes his home in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Sam is the author/editor of a dozen books, including a recent three-volume series on Asian Diaspora Christianity.

Dr. George notes, “more people are on the move today than at any time in human history and are reshaping societies economies, nations, and churches. If we continue to stay in our homogenous bubbles as the Body of Christ, we will miss out on what God wants to do in and through us today.”

For our 2nd general session at 11 am on Saturday morning, Nov. 4th, We will have 4 speakers instead of one. Each will speak for 15 minutes on somewhere and how God is on the move. We trust you will be intrigued with all four but you are invited to pick one because each speaker will share in a seminar after lunch where he/she will share more.

SCOTT DUDLEY BIO

Scott Dudley is Senior Pastor of Bellevue Presbyterian Church in Bellevue, Washington. Scott earned a Ph.D. from Stanford University in English Literature, and a Master’s in Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.

He has taught numerous writing and literature courses at Stanford University and Seattle Pacific University and has spoken at many Christian conferences. Prior to coming to Bellevue, Scott served as the College Pastor and then the Teaching Pastor at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church.

He currently serves on the Whitworth University Board of Trustees, the Seattle Pacific Seminary Advisory Council and the Board of Jubilee Reach, which partners with churches, schools, the city of Bellevue, social service agencies and local businesses to provide resources, educational support, assistance and community to families and students in need.

He is married to Christina, and they have three young adult children: Holly, Jackson, and Lucy. Some bright morning, when this life is over, Scott’s vision of heaven surely includes running, swimming in a lake, then lying on a dock in the hot sun and growing plenty of tomatoes.

VOULA CHAMPERIDOU-ANTOUAN BIO

Voula Antouan is Greek and is married to Ilias who is from Syria. They have 2 daughters. For years Voula was working as a counselor and serving as a main speaker in many different conferences addressing family therapy and mental health issues, healthy relationships in the church. She worked as an interpreter for the Global University of USA and taught Human Relationships. They had been pastoring home churches among bilingual population.

In 2013, her husband had a prophetic vision from God about dramatic changes in the Middle East which led them to give up their jobs (Ilias was a contractor electrician) and establish an NGO with the name HUMANITARIAN INITIATIVE BRIDGES. Under this entity, God opened the door and gave them the opportunity to serve during the big refugee crisis that started in Europe in 2015, fulfilling the prophetic vision God had given Ilias. Since then, Voula and Ilias have been serving among the huge population who are still arriving in Greece from Syria, Iraq, Turkey and the Kurdish areas of the these countries. This prophetic call was a huge opportunity to expand the Kingdom among the unreached population in the Middle East. Their hearts’ drive is to reach the unreached and give voice to the voiceless but mainly to create a discipleship movement which starts in Athens and continues in Europe and from there back to the Middle East where the Gospel originated.

SEAN DUNN BIO

Sean Dunn loves Jesus with all his heart and has been serving Him in full-time ministry for the past 34 years.  He began serving in local church youth ministries, and in 1997 started traveling full-time as a speaker and author. After praying and studying trends and culture in search of a way to reach people who don’t want to be reached and won’t step foot in a church, the strategy for Groundwire was born.

As the founder and President of Groundwire, Sean has combined his calling as an evangelist with his gifting as an innovative entrepreneur.  He is focused on creatively and effectively communicating God’s Word, Love, and Purpose to every young person.  Through his leadership, Groundwire has grown to be one of the most influential and efficient evangelistic outreach ministries in the US, leveraging media and technology in order to share the love found in Jesus Christ with youth and young adults. The ministry saw 533,414 commitments to Christ in 2022.

BILL RICHARDSON BIO

Background: Bill and his wife, Sharon, were involved in lay ministry in Scotland for 15 years from 1995-2010, including 9 years with Prison Fellowship and church. They answered the call to pastoral ministry and God brought them to Multnomah Seminary in Portland with their 2 children. After graduating with his Master of Divinity in 2013, Bill became the Senior Pastor at the Evangelical Free Church of the Palouse in Pullman, WA, where his responsibilities included bible teaching, college ministry, counselling, and prayer.

Heart for prayer: Back in Scotland, the Holy Spirit stirred Bill’s heart towards prayer through Jim Cymbala’s book, Fresh Wind Fresh Fire. This prayer journey continued in America where God linked him to 6:4 Fellowship www.64fellowship.com. This ministry, led by Daniel Henderson, is dedicated to developing pastors with a heart for prayer and ministry of the word (Acts 6:4). Bill received coaching from Daniel with regards to prayer. This led Bill to lead times of scripture-fed, spirit-led, worship-based prayer. This included a day of prayer every week, a Fresh Encounter with Jesus every Wednesday night, and a once-a-month pastor and ministry leader’s prayer breakfast for 20-30 people.

On 11/21/20 the Holy Spirit spoke clearly that he was going to move Bill and Sharon to the coast. On 03/17/21 Bill received an email from Alvin Vander Griend concerning a new director position at Light of the World Prayer Center (https://www.lowpc.org) and followed that very clear leading! It is an incredible privilege to see the Lord move through prayer in Whatcom County.
