Watch the "Kidnapped Redemption" Film!
“Kidnapped Redemption” is a beautiful 45-minute film based on the life, work, and kidnapping of missionary Phyllis Sortor. Phyllis was held in the bush 12 days, but was finally released. Despite her fear, she returned to Nigeria to continue her work there. She forgave her captors, and seeks to bless them, the Fulani, and other tribes in Nigeria.
About the Presenter
Carisa Haven has worked with Schools For Africa and for missionary Phyllis Sortor for over 20 years. She manages all of the ministry details here in the states while Phyllis is stationed in Nigeria. Carisa visited Nigeria again last year, and has a deep love of the people there.
About the Organization
Schools For Africa works to restore life, health and peace to indigenous farmers and nomadic pastoralists in Nigeria — settling pastoralist families onto protected, ecologically sound grazing reserves with schools and healthcare provided. Founded and directed by missionary Phyllis Sortor, the ministry has built more than 25 schools serving over 4,300 students, along with 11 healthcare clinics, across 10 Nigerian states.
