The Widows Project — “Caring for the Widowed in Their Distress” — was founded by Mary Beth Woll and Linda Smith after both were widowed and found few resources for people grappling with loss. They wrote a book about their experiences and dedicated themselves to a ministry of spiritual comfort and community: support groups, Heartwork Retreats and resources for anyone trying to figure out life without their spouse.
