Missionaries export more than the gospel — they export their cultural version of mature Christianity. This seminar explores why making truly mature disciples requires genuine acculturation: entering another culture deeply enough to show what following Christ looks like from the inside.
About the Presenter
Mark Harris was a missionary in Russia for about 9 years in the 1990s, doing evangelism, pastor training, and research. He has a Masters degree in New Testament and a Doctorate in Intercultural Studies. He was also CFO for Frontier Ventures, and President of Spiritual Counterfeits Project.
About the Organization
The Spiritual Counterfeits Project examines the cultural shift in the USA from its Judeo-Christian heritage to a society of conflicting worldviews, and provides biblical critiques of cultural and spiritual trends and movements. Through journals, newsletters, seminars and online resources, SCP equips churches to understand and respond to the beliefs shaping the world around them.
