GREATER WORKS GOSPEL CHOIR

Greater Works Gospel Choir was a semi-finalist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. About half of the 42 choir members live in the Tacoma area. Director DaNell Damon, a 17-year Seattle resident, founded the group in 2010. In 2016 he relocated to Washington, D.C., where he is the choir director of a Baptist Church.  “It is quite obvious you are amazing,” notoriously harsh AGT judge Simon Cowell told the choir on August 8, 2017, as their performance got a standing ovation from the audience and judges.

NEW HOPE & NEW COVENANT WORSHIP TEAMS

Performing Saturday morning, October 19

 

A united worship team made up of genocide survivors and refugees from the Great Lakes of Africa: Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo will sing. The lead singers Adrien, Patrick and Providence draw thousands to their concerts in Central and East Africa. New Covenant meets at Denny Park Lutheran Sundays at 2:30pm and New Hope Revival meets at Bellevue Presbyterian at 10:30am. Their services are primarily in Kinyarwanda, with English translation as needed.

CHURCH OF GRACE YOUTH CHOIR

The Church of Grace in Renton was founded by Ukrainian Pentecostal refugees and is part of the National Slavic District of the Assemblies of God. Stepan Kasyanyuk is the pastor and Zoryana Lakotiy is the director to the youth choir. Their services are in Ukrainian, with weekly youth services in English.
